Jokulsarlon Iceberg Boat Cruise and South Coast Day Tour from Reykjavik BSI Terminal
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
ReykjavikThis South Coast day tour from Reykjavik is built around a boat cruise on Jökulsárlón, among drifting icebergs, some of them over 1,000 years old, on Iceland's deepest lake. Afterward comes a walk on Diamond Beach, where fragments of the lagoon's ice lie on black volcanic sand. The day starts at the BSÍ Bus Terminal, with a short comfort stop at Hvolsvöllur on the way. The route passes Eyjafjallajökull, the glacier-capped volcano that erupted in 2010, and stops at Skógafoss, where legend says a treasure chest is hidden behind the falls. After the lagoon and a lunch break, the group stops in Vík for a dinner break and finishes at Seljalandsfoss, where visitors can walk behind the cascade through a cave-like hollow in the rock. Along the road there are views of glaciers, lava fields and rugged coastline, and guides share local insight.
