Materuni Village, Waterfalls and Coffee Tour with Picnic Lunch and Donation Visit

A professional guide takes the group from Moshi, about 15 km away, to Materuni, a village below the roof of Africa with a landscape full of local fruits and vegetables. The drive takes about 1.5 hours. The first stop is the coffee farms, where guests learn the traditional way of making coffee and, after greeting the locals, get a cup of their own. A short trek leads to the waterfalls, and along the way the guide describes daily life among the Chagga and their culture. The fall drops into a pool where guests can swim or simply watch the water. A picnic lunch is served before or after the swim, whichever the group prefers. After the village there is an optional extra for those who wish: a visit to children living in poor conditions and a chance to donate. The donation is handed over directly to the families the operator supports. Private transportation, all fees and taxes and lunch are included. Soda and snorkelling equipment are not. Guiding is offered in German, English, Italian, French and Spanish, up to 15 travellers can book together, and the day suits all fitness levels.
