South Coast Day Tour from Reykjavik to Jokulsarlon Lagoon, Diamond Beach and Vik
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
ReykjavikThis long day tour from Reykjavik runs east along the South Coast as far as Jökulsárlón. The route starts with Stjórnarfoss, a two-step waterfall near Kirkjubæjarklaustur, then reaches the glacier lagoon and the icebergs scattered across Diamond Beach. The village of Vík, with its black sand beach and the Reynisdrangar sea stack in view, is the stop for dinner, and Seljalandsfoss closes the day with a path behind the falls. Pickup is at an approved location in downtown Reykjavik, and the meeting point is Tour Bus Stop 12 at Höfðatorg, Þórunnartún 1. The vehicle is air-conditioned with WiFi on board, a driver who also guides, and parking fees are covered. Food and drinks are not included, and a boat ride on the lagoon can be added for an extra price. The day lasts about 14 hours, and transfer times vary with the time of day and traffic. The tour takes up to 65 people, with up to 30 travelers per booking. Guiding is in English.
