Three-Day Madakaripura Falls, Bromo Jeep Sunrise and Ijen Tour from Surabaya
This three-day trip visits Madakaripura Falls on the way from Surabaya to Bromo. The operator has been licensed since 2003, the driver or guide speaks English, and travelers can manage their own timing during the tour as long as the next destination can still be reached. Pickup is at a Surabaya hotel or at Juanda International Airport. The waterfall lies in Lumbang village, Probolinggo, and a local guide leads the way: part of the approach is by motorbike taxi, the rest on foot along the river. Bromo day starts at 3 am with a private 4x4 jeep to the Penanjakan viewpoint, then the Sea of Sand and the crater, where 250 steps lead to the rim. A horse ride toward the crater is possible but not included. Day three begins at midnight with the drive to Paltuding and a trek of about two hours to the Ijen peak and the blue fire. The price includes a private jeep for Bromo, air-conditioned private transport, one hotel night at Bromo and one at Ijen, breakfast, entrance fees for Bromo, Ijen and Madakaripura, local guide fees and a rented gas mask. Gratuities and personal spending are extra. The trip ends in Surabaya, at Ketapang ferry port or at Blimbingsari Airport, and the same car can continue to Bali for an additional charge. Up to 10 travelers per booking.
