Single travelers can book this private three-day tour, which comes with a driver, an English-speaking guide and International SOS coverage. Pickup is at Surabaya Airport or the train station according to the arrival time, or at the hotel at 9 am for those already in the city. The first stop is Madakaripura Waterfall, about three hours away, followed by a night at Bromo Terrace Hotel, or a similar four-star hotel if it is unavailable. A pickup between 2:30 and 3 am starts Bromo day. A 4WD jeep takes about an hour, then a hike of 10 to 15 minutes leads to a sunrise viewpoint, one of four, which the guide picks for fewer crowds. After the Hill of Love photo stop, the Sea of Sand is crossed on foot or by horse (fee not included), and 250 steps lead to the crater rim. Check-out is by noon, and the drive of four to five hours goes to Grand Padis Hotel in Bondowoso. The Ijen pickup is at midnight, or at 2 am if the blue fire is closed, with two hours to Paltuding and a climb of two to three hours. The blue fire needs another 45 minutes down and depends on the weather. The return to Surabaya takes six to seven hours. A Bali drop-off adds SGD 100 per person and includes the ferry. Bottled water, a trekking pole and a gas mask are included; entrance fees, lunch, dinner and the horse ride are not. Minimum age 10, up to 15 travelers. Cancellations are not refundable.
