Three-Day Surabaya Tour to Tumpak Sewu, Bromo and Ijen with Bali Ferry Ticket (5/5)

Simple accommodation and a ferry ticket to Bali are part of this three-day trip from the Surabaya area. The first day goes to Tumpak Sewu, whose Javanese name means a thousand waterfalls and which hangs like a curtain around the cliff. Afterwards the road leads to Bromo for a check-in and time to spare. A 3 am pickup starts day two, with a jeep from the villagers, the sunrise and a hike up the most approachable volcano, followed by breakfast and the move to lodging near Ijen. Late that night the group drives to Paltuding, where a briefing comes before the Ijen hike, which takes roughly five to six hours in total and includes the blue flame and the descent after sunrise. The tour ends at Ketapang harbor, and travelers continue to Bali or return to Surabaya. Included are an English-speaking driver and guide, tolls, petrol and parking, Ijen equipment (gas mask, headlamp and health certificate), the Bali ferry ticket and breakfast. Lunch and dinner are not covered. Ijen closes on Fridays in the first week of each month, so tours starting on a Wednesday that week should not be booked. There is no refund for changes caused by weather or volcanic activity as long as the sights are declared safe. Guiding is available in Malay and English, and the limit is 10 travelers per booking.
