Wadi Shab Cave Swim Day from Muscat, 8:30 AM Hotel Pick-Up, Sinkhole and Fins Beach
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
MuscatThis full day out of Muscat starts with hotel pick-up and a departure at about 8:30 AM, with an English-speaking guide. Each stop is taken at a relaxed pace, and the day can be tailored to the travelers' interests. Vehicle, fuel and water are included, as is pick-up and drop-off in the Muscat area. Lunch (5 OMR) and the Wadi Shab boat (1 OMR) are paid on site. Wadi Shab is a large canyon gorge with palm trees and other greenery on the slopes. After about an hour of trekking through the canyon the trail reaches a clear water pool, and the water is clear enough to swim through. At the last pool the way continues into the canyon's cave, through crevices and openings, to a small waterfall that falls into cool blue water. Next comes a short stop at the Bimmah Sinkhole, where most people take photos or swim in the lake. The last stop is Fins Beach, a long white-sand beach for photos, a walk around and a rest, before the drive back to Muscat.
