Wadi Shab Day Tour from Muscat with 3 Hours Free Time and Wadi Shab Resort Meal

This eight-hour day trip from Muscat is built around free time at Wadi Shab: three hours to swim in the turquoise water of the canyon gorge, among gleaming white rocks, and to explore at your own pace. The morning starts with hotel pick-up in Muscat. The first stop on the way east is Shatti Al-Qurum, a well-known beach next to the Intercontinental Hotel. The road then continues to the coastal village of Quriyat, which in recent years has been one of the places to break the record for the highest temperature in the world. Wadi Shab is about 1.5 hours from Muscat. Close to the destination the transfer stops and the rest is on foot, because the canyon can only be reached that way. The hike takes about 45 minutes and ends at the gorge, which has clear water and white rocks. After the three hours of free time, the meal is at the Wadi Shab Resort, with a rest before the walk back. The return leg stops at Fins Beach, known for its white sand and a good place for photos, and at the Bimmah Sinkhole, a clear natural pool for relaxing. The group goes back through Shatti Al-Qurum to the hotels in Muscat.
