2-Day Angkor Thom, Angkor Wat, Banteay Srei and Kulen Mountain Tour with Sunset Stop
Two days of Angkor's historic core and Kulen Mountain, with private transportation in an air-conditioned vehicle and an English-speaking guide. Day one leaves the hotel at 8:00 am and works through Angkor Thom: the South Gate, the Bayon, Baphuon, the Terrace of the Elephants, the Royal Palace area, Phimeanakas and the Terrace of the Leper King, then a lunch break in the park. In the afternoon the route continues to Angkor Wat and ends with sunset at Bakheng mountain or Pre Rup. Ta Prohm, the jungle temple, and Srah Srang, the royal bathing pool opposite Banteay Kdei, are also on the plan, and so is Banteay Srei, a 45-minute drive out of Angkor and one of its finest temples for carving. The Kulen National Park visit begins with the reclining Buddha on the mountaintop, then the River of a Thousand Lingas, whose images are carved into the riverbed and banks. For the evening, the guide recommends a buffet dinner with traditional shows at the Kulen II restaurant and can help book front-row seats on request. Parking fees are included. Temple tickets, the Kulen ticket, meals and tips for the guide and driver are not. Up to 9 travelers can share a booking, and the route suits all fitness levels.
