Fire, water and ice, the three colors of the Icelandic flag, are the idea behind this 9-hour minibus tour of five south coast sights. Only air-conditioned minibuses are used, with free WiFi, USB charging and an experienced or certified driver-guide. A smaller vehicle means more personal guiding and more time at each site. The schedule tries to avoid the heaviest rush hours at each stop. Pickup is from downtown bus stops, hotels and guesthouses across the Reykjavik area, starting 30 minutes before the tour begins, and guests go straight onto the tour with no change of buses at a terminal. Skogafoss is a beautiful waterfall at Skogar. Reynisfjara is a black sand beach with basalt columns and rock formations. Solheimajokull is an outlet glacier with deep crevasses and a small lagoon at its foot. Seljalandsfoss is a waterfall off a cliff edge with a walkway behind it. The Eyjafjallajokull volcano, small but the one whose 2010 eruption hit European aviation, is also on the route. An extra stop may be added if time allows. Lunch is taken at a cafe or restaurant where passengers can buy food; it is not included. Taxes, fees and handling charges are covered. Prams, infant seats and booster seats are possible if requested in Special Requirements. Up to 18 travelers per booking.
