Bali Waterfalls and Temples Tour: Temesi, Goa Raja, Kehen and Besakih
Two waterfalls and two temples, with a buffet lunch between them, fill this day trip across eastern Bali. Temesi Waterfall comes first, hidden in the middle of an untouched tropical forest, with surrounding rain forest to explore and natural rock pools to swim in. Kehen Temple follows, a Hindu temple at the foot of the southern part of Bangli Hill, in the Pakuwon area of Bangli town, with Balinese-style carvings and an entrance unlike other temples. Lunch is at Lereng Agung Restaurant, which looks over the valleys at the foot of Mount Agung and serves a buffet. Goa Raja Waterfall is next, hidden in the rainforest: a few steps lead down to clear water and an infinity pool, and the fall runs between riverside walls shaped like a cave, with a canyon silhouette. The last stop is Besakih Temple, the largest Hindu temple in Bali, in Besakih countryside, Rendang sub-district, Karangasem regency, on the southwest slope of Mount Agung. From the top of the temple area the green island and the blue ocean are in view.
