Eastern Bali Waterfalls Private Day Trip: Tukad Cepung, Tibumana and Kanto Lampo
This private day trip heads for the eastern side of the Ubud area and visits three waterfalls in a set order. The driver collects guests at their hotel at 8 am and stays with the group all day. Tukad Cepung is first. It has become a tourist hotspot and a popular Instagram location, and getting in means wading a knee-high river and crossing a few rocks. On a sunny day, sunbeams cross the top of the fall and spread over the canyon walls. Swimming is allowed, or visitors can stand close without getting soaked. Tibumana comes next, deep in green jungle on a slope. The path goes down some stairs and over a wooden bridge to the fall. The water is no deeper than about 6 feet, so diving is out, but standing under the flow is a favorite. Pack a swimsuit and a change of clothes. The last stop is Kanto Lampo, on the eastern side of Ubud, where water runs over stacked rocks and the walk in is comparatively easy. The booking includes an English-speaking driver, an air-conditioned vehicle, parking fees along the route, local tax and mineral water. Hotel pickup and drop-off is offered in Ubud, Seminyak, Legian, Kuta, Jimbaran, Sanur, Tanjung Benoa and Nusa Dua. An option with tickets for all three waterfalls can be selected, or tickets can be left out. Food and drink can be bought on the way. Up to 15 travelers can book together, and all fitness levels are welcome, although the trip is not recommended for pregnant travelers or those with spinal injuries.
