Bali Waterfall Tours: Day Trips by Private Car and Ritual Baths
20 day trips read one by one, from under 30 to more than 60 EUR, typically 30 to 60 EUR. One listing holds 81% of the 3,952 reviews on the page.
The median Bali waterfall tour on this page costs 30 to 60 EUR and takes eight hours, and the longer the day, the less it costs: the three 10-hour listings run from under 30 to 60 EUR, while a 3-hour ritual bath at Beji Griya costs more than any of them. Nineteen of the twenty are flagged private, meaning a car and a driver who doubles as guide, priced per person like a shared seat. One three-waterfall day in the 30 to 60 EUR band holds 81% of the 3,952 reviews, so the 4.99 rating here is mostly that listing's rating. This page treats the day trip as a product: the kinds of day, what tickets and lunch add, how long the road really takes, and what to ask before you pay. The falls themselves have their own pages, Ubud's on the Ubud waterfalls page and the northern ones on North Bali.
The twelve circuits are where the money and the reviews are. The four ritual baths are the shortest days, and the cheapest day on the page is a terrace-and-swing one. If you are comparing, start with the include list, not the headline price, because it decides whether a price under 30 EUR and one in the 30 to 60 EUR band buy the same day. Prices are the figures the operators list, and the numbers describe the 20 listings read on 22 October 2026, not every waterfall trip sold in Bali.

Bali waterfall tour: what a day on this page is
Read the 20 titles and a pattern appears. Twelve are waterfall circuits: a driver, a car and three or four falls in the Ubud area, most often Tibumana, Tukad Cepung, Kanto Lampo and Tegenungan. Three add the Tegalalang rice terraces or a jungle swing. One drives north to Leke Leke and the Handara Gate. Four are not sightseeing at all but purification baths at Beji Griya, a temple waterfall where a priest gives a blessing at the end. They share this page because they share the word waterfall.
| Kind of day | Listings | Length | Price band | Reviews |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Waterfall circuits in the Ubud area | 12 | 6 to 10 hours | From under 30 to 120 EUR, typically 30 to 60 EUR | 3,699 |
| Waterfalls with rice terraces or a swing | 3 | 8 to 10 hours | Under 30 to 60 EUR | 127 |
| Waterfalls with Handara Gate and temples | 1 | 8 hours | 30 to 60 EUR | 13 |
| Purification bath at Beji Griya | 4 | 3 to 6 hours | Roughly 30 to 120 EUR | 113 |
The last column is the one to read twice. The 12 circuits hold 3,699 reviews, and a single one of them, the 8-hour Tibumana, Tukad Cepung and Tegenungan day with lunch, holds 3,206. The other nineteen listings share 746 reviews, a median of 27 each. A 5.0 from 27 people and a 5.0 from 3,206 are different facts.
Nineteen of the twenty listings share 746 reviews. One has 3,206.
None of this says the small listings are worse. It says the rating cannot tell them apart, so the description and the include list have to.
What moves the price of a Bali waterfall tour
Terraces and swings stretch the day, not the price
The cheapest listing on the page, under 30 EUR for 10 hours, is the longest kind of day: three waterfalls, the Tegalalang rice terraces and a jungle swing. The swing is not in the price. Lunch is not in the price. Entrance tickets appear only "if options selected". What that buys is a seat in a car and a driver for ten hours, and the rest is billed at each gate.
The three listings that add terraces or a swing range from under 30 to 60 EUR, and their combined 127 reviews are the thinnest evidence on the page.
Three things set the price: how long the car is yours, whether tickets and lunch are inside the figure, and the vehicle. Six listings side by side, cheapest first.
| Listing | Price band | Length | Entrance tickets | Lunch |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Best of Ubud Waterfalls, Tegalalang Rice Terrace and Jungle Swing | Under 30 EUR | 10 hours | Only if you choose that option | Not included |
| Tegenungan, Tukad Cepung, Kanto Lampo, Tibumana | Under 30 EUR | 8 hours | Listed as optional | Not included |
| Bali Waterfalls in One Day, Tukad Cepung and Kanto Lampo | 30 to 60 EUR | 6 hours | Not included | Not included |
| Best of Bali Waterfalls, Tibumana, Tukad Cepung, Tegenungan | 30 to 60 EUR | 8 hours | All fees and taxes | Included |
| Purification Holy Bath at Beji Gria | 30 to 60 EUR | 4 hours | Offerings, sash and parking | Not included |
| Private all-inclusive tour with a Mount Batur viewpoint | 60 to 120 EUR | 7 hours | Entrance fees included | Buffet lunch included |
Compare the second row with the fourth. Both are eight hours in a private car, one visiting four falls and the other three. The extra money buys the tickets, lunch and a minivan, and you would pay some of that at the gates anyway. Gate prices are in rupiah and nobody agrees on them: two 2026 travel blogs we read differ by up to 25,000 IDR on the same fall. So the cheap listing is not a bargain until you have added the tickets, and the dear one is not a rip-off until you have subtracted them.
The dearest listing's text mentions Nusa Lembongan, which is not on its schedule. Read the schedule, not the blurb.
Where the hours go on a Bali waterfall day
The longer the day, the lower the price
The chart places each listing by length and price. Read it left to right and the dots sink. The 10-hour days sit lowest, under 30 EUR for two of the three. The 8-hour days run from under 30 to 60 EUR. At 3 to 5 hours the listings are the ritual baths, roughly 30 to 120 EUR. The dearest listing, at 7 hours, is the one dot floating above everything.
The note under the chart matters: prices are per person, private tours included, and none of the 19 private listings quotes a price for the whole car. A group does not split the fare, it multiplies it, and the long day is cheaper per traveler at any party size.
Now the clock. The dearest listing publishes a schedule: 8:00 hotel pickup, 10:00 first waterfall, 11:00 second, 12:00 lunch, 13:00 a Mount Batur viewpoint, 15:00 a third waterfall, 16:00 the drive back, and back at the hotel around 6 pm. That is ten hours door to door, and the card says 7. This is the usual gap on this page: the length on the card counts the stops, the hotel counts the road. Two hours separate pickup from the first fall here.
A title that promises "5 waterfalls in one day" is a promise about the map, not about your afternoon.
The Beji Griya ritual listings
Four listings are melukat, the Balinese purification bath: three name Beji Griya, and a fourth, called a "holy waterfalls healing tour", starts there too. They cost roughly 30 to 120 EUR for 3 to 6 hours. The two we opened include the offerings, a ceremonial sash or dress and a local guide, and little else. One sets an age range of 10 to 60, asks women who are menstruating not to take part, and warns that you may wait while the offerings are prepared. Book it as a ceremony or not at all.
How to choose a Bali waterfall tour
Five questions sort the 20 listings faster than the star rating does. Where do you sleep? A pickup from the south coast lengthens the first leg of every circuit. Do you want to swim, or to see? The ritual baths and the circuits are different days. Are tickets in the figure? The include list says, and "optional" means you pay. Is lunch in it? Five listings say yes. How many are you? Every price here is per person, private tours included, so multiply it by your party.
Add the tickets, the lunch and the swing back to the cheapest day before you call it cheap.

Questions about Bali waterfall tours
How much does a Bali waterfall tour cost?
The 20 listings on this page run from under 30 to more than 60 EUR, typically 30 to 60 EUR, and half of them sit in that band. Private tours are priced per person too, so every number is one traveler's fare. The 10-hour days are the cheapest, under 30 EUR for two of the three, and the cheapest of them lists tickets and lunch as extras.
How long is a Bali waterfall day trip?
A circuit runs 6 to 10 hours, median 8; the ritual baths take 3 to 6. The length on a listing can leave out the road: one schedule shows a 7-hour listing running from 8:00 to about 6 pm.
Are entrance tickets and lunch included?
Only the include list says. Among six listings we compared, one covers all fees and lunch in the 30 to 60 EUR band, one lists tickets as an option under 30 EUR, and one leaves both out in the 30 to 60 EUR band. Five of the 20 flag lunch as included.
Is a Beji Griya holy bath the same as a waterfall tour?
No. It is a purification ceremony led by a guide, with offerings, a sash and a blessing, and it takes 3 to 6 hours. One listing sets an age range of 10 to 60. Book it for the ceremony. If you want to swim and photograph falls, book a circuit.
Does the Bali tourist levy come with the tour?
Foreign visitors pay a one-time provincial levy of IDR 150,000 through the official Love Bali portal, introduced in February 2024. It is paid once per visit, not per tour. Treat "all inclusive" on a listing as covering the tour, not the levy.
