The guide is the point of this private south coast tour. One enthusiastic Icelandic guide leads the group through the mysterious scenery of South Iceland, bringing a broad knowledge of the country and its history to every stop. Five stops are on the plan: Seljalandsfoss, where a path runs behind the falls and the right clothes matter, Skógafoss, Reynisfjara black sand beach with its basalt pillars, the Dyrhólaey arch seen from a viewpoint reached by driving up a mountain, and Gljúfrabúi, a waterfall hidden inside a narrow canyon. Because the tour is private, the group can stay longer at one location or move faster through another, and requested stops can be added. The guide is exclusively with the group for the whole tour. The day runs about eight hours, with guiding in English. Snacks and water are not provided, so travelers bring their own. The tour suits all fitness levels, infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller, and a booking takes up to 15 travelers.
