Private 9-Hour South Coast Tour with Gljufrabui, Solheimajokull and Vik Lunch Stop
Seven stops make up this private nine-hour tour from Reykjavik, which runs the south coast route with Gljúfrabúi on the list. Skógafoss comes first on the way east. Visitors walk toward the base through ice-cold mist, with Eyjafjallajökull, the volcano behind the 2010 eruption that disrupted air traffic, nearby. Sólheimajökull follows, where a small lagoon beside the glacier holds floating chunks of ice. At Reynisfjara, the black sand beach, the guide explains the history of the place against the waves of the North Atlantic, among rock formations and folklore. Vík is the lunch stop, at a local restaurant in a building that also houses the Ice Wear company and its factory sale, and the guide then leads the group to a viewing point over the village and the ocean. Seljalandsfoss has a paved path, and when the weather allows, the walk continues behind the falling water. The last stop is Gljúfrabúi, a waterfall hidden in a narrow gorge, reached on a winding path or by wading through the river. Its name means Canyon Dweller. Parking fees at Seljalandsfoss, Sólheimajökull, Reynisfjara and Skógafoss are included, along with private transportation in an air-conditioned vehicle with WiFi. Lunch is not. A booking takes up to 6 travelers, with guiding in English.

Solheimajokull Glacier
The guide leads the way toward Sólheimajökull. Beside the glacier lies a small lagoon where chunks of ice broken off the ice cap float. The spot offers good photo opportunities in any weather.

Gljufrabui Waterfalls
Gljúfrabúi is a waterfall hidden in a narrow gorge on the south coast, partly concealed by tall cliffs and often overshadowed by its neighbor Seljalandsfoss.
