Private Bali Waterfall Day With Lunch: Tegenungan, Tibumana, Dusun Kuning, Mount Batur
This private day trip leaves from your hotel or villa in Bali in a Wi-Fi equipped, air-conditioned vehicle, and your English-speaking guide is also the driver. The schedule starts with an 8 am pickup, with the exact time depending on where you stay. Tegenungan Waterfall comes first, around 10 am, a hidden-feeling fall in Ubud village whose clear water is suitable for washing or playing. Tibumana follows an hour later. It is one of the closest waterfalls to Ubud, set in a cove among flowers and jungle, and the pool is deep and large enough for a proper swim in cool, not freezing, water. Lunch comes at midday at a restaurant overlooking Mount Batur, and a stop afterward gives views of the Kintamani volcano and the Batur cones. The afternoon ends at Dusun Kuning Waterfall, which few tourists visit. Reaching it involves a challenging hike to the top, with a dip in the river as the reward and the sounds of monkeys from the nearby forest. Those who prefer not to swim can sit on the boulders around the pool. On the drive the car passes the Sacred Monkey Forest, Ubud Art Market, the Tegalalang rice terrace and Tirta Empul Temple, and, depending on the hotel, Canggu, Seminyak, Jimbaran or Uluwatu. The price includes bottled water, entrance fees, lunch, wet napkins and all fees and taxes. Up to 15 travelers can book together. At least a moderate level of fitness is needed, and the trip is not recommended for pregnant travelers or anyone with spinal injuries.
