Private South Coast Tour in a Land Rover Defender with Photo Package, Reykjavik
The vehicle is part of the pitch: this private south coast tour runs in a Land Rover Defender, and a PRO Photo Package is included. The day begins at a pick-up location in Reykjavik, followed by a drive of about two and a half hours to the first waterfall. Seljalandsfoss is 60 meters high and 15 meters wide, and the one waterfall on the route that can be walked behind. A further 30 minutes of driving brings the group to Skógafoss, 60 meters tall and 25 meters wide, known from the series Vikings and often showing a rainbow or two on sunny days. At Dyrhólaey, a promontory near the southernmost point of Iceland, a high hill gives long views over the black sand beach. Reynisfjara is next, with its basalt formations and sneaker waves, which can be deadly, and time for photos. The route passes Eyjafjallajökull, a volcano still active whose 2010 eruption disrupted air traffic and which lies beneath the Eyjafjalla glacier. The group then strolls around Vík, a fishing village, before driving back to Reykjavik. On the way the guide points out other places that are not included in the tour price but can be added. Hotel pick-up and drop-off, photographs from the tour and a driver-guide are included. Food and drinks are not. Guiding is in English and Polish, and a booking takes up to 15 travelers.
