Private Ubud Day: Tibumana, Ulu Petanu, Kanto Lampo, Tegalalang Terraces and Swing
The waterfalls around Ubud rank among Bali's most requested photo locations, but reaching them alone is tiring. This eight-hour private trip takes over the logistics. Transfers run from Ubud, Kintamani and the main resort areas of south Bali, and the group is spared the crush of a large tour bus and sets its own pace. Three waterfalls fill the first half of the day. Kanto Lampo, in the Gianyar Regency, is an easy short walk from the parking area, with water stepping over rock formations into a shallow pool. Tibumana, near the village of Apuan in Bangli, reaches the pool in one gentle drop, and the trail crosses small bridges with views of rice fields and palm trees. Ulu Petanu is a hidden fall near Ubud with a quieter feel, set in tropical jungle. After the falls comes Tegalalang Rice Terrace, a famous tiered hillside just north of Ubud that shows the subak irrigation system, followed by a jungle swing at Happy Swing Bali. Petrol, parking fees, bottled water, a driver, a guide and an air-conditioned vehicle are included. Entrance tickets for the waterfalls and the rice terrace are included when the ticket options are selected. The swing, lunch and gratuities are not covered. Up to 15 travelers can book together, infants sit on an adult's lap, and guiding is in English. The trip suits all fitness levels, but it is not recommended for pregnant travelers or anyone with spinal injuries or poor cardiovascular health.

Kanto Lampo Waterfall
A cascade in the Gianyar Regency, not far from Ubud, reached by a short walk from the parking area. Water steps over rock formations into a shallow pool where visitors can stand under the falls, swim or take photos. Jungle surrounds it, and the fall has been gaining popularity for its looks.
-
Tibumana Waterfall
A quiet fall near the village of Apuan in Bangli, central Bali. Water drops gently over a cliff into a peaceful pool among tropical greenery. A short jungle trek over small bridges leads there, with rice field and palm views, and the crowds are usually thinner than at the better-known falls.
-
Tegalalang Rice Terrace
Tiered rice paddies fall down the hillside north of Ubud, watered by the traditional subak system, a UNESCO World Heritage practice. Visitors walk the fields, enjoy the valley views and photograph the scene, best at sunrise and sunset. Small cafés and restaurants stand nearby, and farming activities such as planting and harvesting can be tried.
-
Happy Swing Bali
Swings near Ubud hang over jungle, rice terraces and river valleys. Heights vary, and some reach up to 78 meters (256 feet). Many swing parks add bird's nest platforms, giant rocks and photo spots.
