Sumampan Waterfall in Kemenuh village is the opening stop of this private guided day around Ubud. A stairway beside the river makes the walk easy, and the pool is there for swimming or simply for looking. From there the route covers Batuan village temple, where the gate and other corners of the temple are good for photos, and the Sacred Monkey Forest of Padangtegal, one of Ubud's most popular attractions, a forest sanctuary with grey long-tailed macaques. Next come the Tegalalang Rice Terrace, north of Ubud in Tegalalang village and also known as the Ubud Rice Fields, and a jungle swing at D'Alas that carries guests high over the valley. A set menu lunch is served at a local restaurant overlooking jungle and rice paddies. The final stops are in town: Ubud Art Market, for souvenirs, and Ubud Palace, before the drive back to the hotel. Dewa Putu Toris is also on the stop list, where visitors can see how Balinese artists paint.
