This 10-hour small-group trip from Reykjavik heads for Vik, near the southernmost point of Iceland, and fits waterfalls, a volcano view, a glacier and a black sand beach into one day. A professional guide leads, and the group is capped at 18 people. Seljalandsfoss can be walked behind, so waterproof clothing is highly recommended. At Skogafoss a staircase climbs to the top of the falls, and in clear conditions Eyjafjallajokull is visible from there. The walk at Solheimajokull goes to the edge of the glacier, close enough to touch the ice. Reynisfjara black sand beach is known for its basalt formations and the view of the Reynisdrangar sea stacks, and its waves are dangerous, so they need watching at all times. The last stop is the town of Vik, with its own black sand beach and a view of the same sea stacks. WiFi is available on board. Hotel pickup and drop-off covers selected hotels and official bus stops in central Reykjavik only. Food and drinks are not included. Wear clothing against wind and rain and good shoes. The tour suits all fitness levels, with up to 15 travelers per booking and guiding in English.
