South Coast Day Tour Ending at Sky Lagoon Spa, Pure Pass or Sky Pass
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
ReykjavikSouth Iceland has few geothermal pools, and this 13-hour small-group day from Reykjavik fixes that by ending at the Sky Lagoon thermal spa after the waterfalls and the black sand beach. The group is capped at 12 travelers per booking and meets outside Storm Hotel at Thorunnartun 6. Skogafoss is 25 metres wide and 60 metres high; it can be viewed from below, or from the top after 370 steps. Solheimajokull needs a walk of about 15 minutes to the glacier snout, where the ice can be touched and the guide explains how Icelandic glaciers form, behave and melt. Reynisfjara black sand beach shows basalt column cliffs and the force of the North Atlantic, and is as dangerous as it is beautiful. Seljalandsfoss, listed at 66 metres, can be walked around and behind, and on a good day the Westman Islands are visible from there. A couple of hours at Sky Lagoon follow. Two entrance options are offered: the Pure Pass gives access to the 7-Step Ritual with steam room, sauna and more, and the Sky Pass adds private changing facilities. The spa has an infinity pool with a view toward Reykjavik. Afterward the group is taken back to the starting point. WiFi, all fees and taxes and an air-conditioned vehicle are included. Lunch is not included. Guiding is in English.

Skogafoss is 25 metres wide and 60 metres high, and very powerful. Look at it from below, or climb the 370 steps to see it from the top.
-
Solheimajokull Glacier
A short walk of about 15 minutes leads to the snout of Solheimajokull, an outlet of Myrdalsjokull. Touching a real glacier is a bucket-list item, and the spot shows how Icelandic glaciers form, behave and melt quickly.
-
Vik
A picturesque town on Iceland's South Coast.
-
Reynisfjara Beach
The famous black sand beach, where the North Atlantic shows its force against cliffs of basalt columns. It is as beautiful as it is dangerous, so treat it with respect.
