South Shore Adventure: Reynisdrangar Sea Stacks, Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
ReykjavikThis 10-hour South Shore Adventure from Reykjavik is run as a small-group minibus tour with a certified guide, a small-group guarantee and a guide-to-guest ratio of one to 18. Skogafoss is 25 metres (82 feet) wide with a 60-metre (200 ft) drop, and the steady spray usually throws a single or double rainbow on sunny days. Seljalandsfoss falls 60 metres (196 ft), and in summer visitors can step behind the curtain of water for a different view of the coast. The tour also stops at Solheimajokull, a tongue of the Myrdalsjokull glacier with icy crevasses and deep blue colors. At Reynisfjara the Reynisdrangar sea stacks stand under Reynisfjall mountain at the end of a stretch of black sand beach: spiky basalt towers rising 66 metres (217 ft) out of the ocean. The beach also has a cave carved by the waves, and the tidal waves call for caution. Pick-up and drop-off are at authorized pick-up points in Reykjavik, and WiFi is free on board. Food, drinks and gratuities are not included, so bring a packed lunch. Pack warm outdoor clothing, a waterproof jacket and pants, a hat, gloves and sturdy shoes. Minimum age is 6, up to 15 travelers per booking, with guiding in English.

Skogafoss
One of the biggest waterfalls in the country, 25 metres (82 feet) wide with a 60-metre (200 ft) drop. The constant spray normally produces a single or double rainbow on sunny days.
-
Seljalandsfoss waterfall
A 60-metre (196 ft) cascade in South Iceland, popular because the path goes behind it in summer only. Stepping behind the curtain of water gives a new view of the coast.
-
Solheimajokull Glacier
A glacial tongue that belongs to the large Myrdalsjokull glacier, with icy crevasses, deep blue colors and rugged scenery.
-
Reynisdrangar
The sea cliffs stand below Reynisfjall mountain at the end of a stretch of black sand beach: spiky basalt stacks rising 66 metres (217 ft) out of the ocean.
-
Vikurfjara Black Sand Beach
