Beji Griya is a hidden waterfall temple in the Abiansemal area, treated as one of the holiest sites for cleansing. This three-hour outing lets visitors take part in a melukat purification ceremony alongside local pilgrims, in a quiet, spiritual setting. Melukat is the local name for the rite. It uses natural holy water to purify mind and soul, and it is meant to remove afflictions that might stand in the way of a particular result, such as blockages in a career, ill intentions or negative forces. A priest guides the purification from start to finish, and a coconut is used for the water blessing. The offering is supplied, so nothing needs to be brought for the ritual itself. Private transportation with an English-speaking driver and the entrance ticket are included. A towel, locker and sarong are available for use, and coffee or tea is served. Lunch and personal expenses are not included. Women who are menstruating cannot join the activity. The experience suits all fitness levels but is not recommended for pregnant travelers or anyone with spinal injuries or poor cardiovascular health. Up to 15 travelers can book together, and guiding is in English. Public transportation options are available nearby.
