This ten-hour day trip pairs three waterfalls with Ubud's best-known rice terraces and a jungle swing. Kanto Lampo opens the day. It sits in the Gianyar Regency not far from Ubud, and a short walk from the parking area leads to a cascade that steps over rock formations instead of dropping in one line. Water runs into a shallow pool where visitors can stand under the falls or take a dip. Tibumana is next, in the Bangli Regency, about a 30-minute drive from Ubud. A single-drop fall pours into a clear pool, reached by well-kept paths and steps through the jungle. The pool is calm and shallow enough for swimming, and the site is close to a temple that locals visit, so visitors are asked to respect any ceremony. The third fall is Tukad Cepung, hidden in a cave beneath tall cliffs, where rays of light cut through the canyon. The way in leads through jungle paths and shallow streams. Tegalalang Rice Terrace lies just north of Ubud and shows the subak irrigation system in action; narrow paths run between the paddies. The day also includes the Ubud jungle swing. Bottled water and an air-conditioned vehicle are included. Entrance tickets for the waterfalls and the rice terrace are covered when the ticket options are selected. Lunch, gratuities and the swing itself are not included. Up to 15 travelers can book, guiding is in English, all fitness levels are fine, and the trip is not recommended for anyone with spinal injuries.

  2. Tibumana Waterfall

A hidden fall in the Bangli Regency, about a 30-minute drive from Ubud and less crowded than the better-known spots. A short jungle walk on well-kept paths and steps passes small streams. The single drop ends in a calm, shallow pool good for swimming. A temple stands nearby and locals visit for religious reasons, so visitors should respect any ceremony. An entrance fee applies.

    Extra fee

  3. Tegalalang Rice Terrace

The terraces in Tegalalang village, just north of Ubud, climb the hillside in tiers fed by the traditional subak irrigation system. Narrow paths run between the fields, with panoramic views and good light for photos at sunrise and sunset. An entrance fee applies.

  4. Happy Swing Bali

    Extra fee

  5. Tukad Cepung Waterfall

Tukad Cepung is hidden inside a cave under towering cliffs and is known for sunbeams shining through the canyon.
