Ubud Private Tour: Kanto Lampo, Tibumana, Tirta Empul and Aloha Jungle Swing
A private air-conditioned car and a professional guide cover five stops in this Ubud outing, which starts with water and ends high above a valley. Kanto Lampo Waterfall is first: mountain water falls down rock formations, a spot travelers like to photograph themselves in while swimming. About 10 minutes by car away is Tibumana Waterfall in Susut district, Bangli regency, once a little-known gem, where a thin curtain of water fills a large basin. The pool at the base is around waist-deep, which suits swimming. Tirta Empul follows, known as the water purification temple; locals perform the ritual at the fountains, and visitors can do it too, with the guide explaining the temple. Lunch is at a local restaurant after this long stretch. The last visit is Tegalalang Rice Terrace, stepped paddies beside the Tegalalang highway in Gianyar regency, with cafes, stalls and parking nearby, and the Aloha jungle swing over the coconut trees, more than 100 metres above the valley. Entry tickets to the swing are not included.
