Waterfalls in Puerto Rico and the Tours That Reach Them
37 tours read one by one, from under 30 to more than 500 EUR. Three kinds of day cover the island: a rainforest river in the east, the limestone caves of the north and one private waterfall in the west.
Of the 37 waterfall tours on this page, only 3 go to Gozalandia, the fall that gives the most-searched day trip its name. Another 17 sell El Yunque, and the rainforest day is the cheaper one, against the caves and canyons of the north, though both typically cost 60 to 120 EUR. Puerto Rico has plenty of falls and very few places where a visitor can stand under one without a guide, a driver or a long walk. This page puts the island's waterfalls side by side, says which ones you can see from a road for nothing, and points you to the destination page that fits the day you have in mind. Think of three islands: a rainforest in the east where the cheap days are, limestone caves in the north where the reviews are, and one private waterfall in the west that takes most of a day to reach. We read each listing's itinerary and inclusions rather than its title, because on this island the title often names a waterfall that the tour barely visits. Where sources disagree, or a trail is shut, we say so.
Two warnings before the details. The trail to La Mina Falls in El Yunque is reported closed for repairs, with work expected to end in summer 2027, and many listings were written before the closure and still describe it. And the name El Yunque on a slide tour does not always mean the national forest, which the El Yunque page unpacks. For caves, canyons and Gozalandia, go to the Gozalandia and Charco Azul page, where seven listings sell the same canyon at four different prices.
